Happy Wednesday!

Thursday, July 24th, 2008

I come today with big news! I ACTUALLY HAVE AN UPDATE OF ‘YOU IRRITATE ME’!!!!!! I’m so excited to be working on this story again. I think it might be just what I need to get the creative hanfic juices flowing again. The layout’s a bit wonky, but it does work. Please just click right in front of the word you want to access (Chapters, Soundtrack, etc.) and the page should load. I’ll try to update the layout so the buttons are visible again in the next few days. [EDIT- Layout is now fixed!] I’m also working on the next chapter of Revelations, so that will be coming soon as well.

I realized that I had posted my reasons for not finishing FFL on JSOR, but not on here, which I apologize for profusely. The decision just came at a time when I wasn’t posting here regularly. So here is what I posted there:

After MUCH thought and consideration, I have decided to not finish Fine, Fine Line. This story, and Tumbling Down as well, were quite autobiographical. At times, they were far too much so. The guy I based Taylor off of for these stories consumed me emotionally for four long years. But now, I’m past him. I’m with a wonderful guy who I’m crazy about and the old guy is far, far behind me. I know that continuing to write this story will stir up emotions I just can’t bring back up.

I feel terrible about leaving it up in the air. I had the entire story planned out, but I’ve tried to write it and it just doesn’t work any more. I made the mistake as a writer of putting too much of myself into a story and it backfired on me terribly.

I sincerely apologize to fans of this story. I wish I would have been able to finish it for you, but just can’t bring myself to write it any more.

So that’s my story and I unfortunately must stick to it for my own sanity. I so appreciate the support you all gave me with these stories and I’m sorry to leave you all hanging.

But, in happier news, I’m doing my own awards site! I’m still in the process of setting up the nomination ballots and the like, so it will be a few weeks before I get it going, but I have the site up and want to share it with all of you! The link can be found –>here<– and it’s my own little homage to the Academy Awards. I hope that everyone has fun with these as I’m super excited to be doing my own awards site! :)

Thank you SO MUCH to Jenny, Diana, Madeline, Toni, Maria, and Lena for leaving me love after the latest update of Revelations. Please check back soon for an update of that! You guys are amazing!

Don’t get too excited lol

Thursday, May 15th, 2008

I don’t have any chapters for you yet, but I did want to check in to let you (those of you who still bother to check this thing. If you do, you’re wonderful, by the way) know what was up with my super-extended hiatus.

At first it was writer’s block to the extreme. It wasn’t that I didn’t want to write, but I would just open my Word documents and stare at them, not knowing what to do. My own “personal relationship” with the Hanson brothers was rocky this spring to say the least. And sadly, that has had an impact on my ability to write Hanfic.

That being said, I have a real dedication to finishing both Revelations and Fine, Fine Line and will do so, I swear. But not until this summer. My first year at this job has been infinitely more draining and time-consuming than I had ever imagined. Just ask Becca. I can hardly even stay up until 10 to have a decent conversation, let alone write regularly and effectively.

So, I will be back and those two stories will get finished. I hope that some of you are patient enough to wait it out with me, because I have thoroughly enjoyed your feedback and support throughout the last year or so.

Don’t die of shock, please!

I come bearing three brand  new chapters today! Chapter 12 of Revelations has now been posted, as has Chapter 8 of Fine, Fine Line. Some pretty big stuff happens in both of these chapters, so be prepared!

Now, I know that I said I wasn’t planning on writing You Irritate Me for quite awhile, but an opportunity to start it has presented itself. Over at the JSOR boards, I brought up how everyone seemed to be in somewhat of a winter writing slump, and one of the users suggested something called “Fix the Winter Slump!” where those of us who are participating are giving each other private feedback on the story we’ve chosen to work on. I could have kept this story quiet until this little challenge was over, but decided to post what I’m working on as a sort of preview. Based on the feedback I get, I might be doing some rewriting, but please go take a look at it. I’m not planning on changing the plot, so let me know what you think of what’s up so far. I had an absolute BLAST making the new layout for it (with a little help from Brittney lol) and I’m really excited to write this story.

Thank you so much to Brittney for signing the guestbook after the last update! :)

Merry Whatever-Holiday-You-Celebrate! :) I hope that everyone is having a wonderful holiday season. I personally can’t wait for New Year’s Eve, my favorite holiday of the year. Yay! :)

Chapter Seven of Fine, Fine Line is now posted! I was so happy to see how many people came back to read FFL after its looooong hiatus! It’s really wonderful to read the comments and have the support, honestly. :)

Chapter Thirteen of Where I Belong was posted on last Saturday by Becca, so check that out and let us know what you think as well!

There are a few days left to vote at the Fool’s Banquet Awards! Be sure to go vote for your favorite stories from this year! There are a lot of great stories nominated, so go check it out and put in your two cents!

Thanks again (SO MUCH) to Diana, Becky, Becca, Katie, Daiana, Mel, Alissa, and Kristy for signing the guestbook. You guys are amazing!! :)

HOORAY!!

Sunday, December 16th, 2007

It’s the return of Cameron! I’m so excited to post a new chapter of Fine, Fine Line tonight! It’s an intense chapter, but I’m just so glad to be writing her story again! Enjoy!

Becca will be posting Chapter 12 of Where I Belong later this evening, so look at that as well! I’m still working on Revelations, but don’t have an update of that at this moment. I put up a new layout for Damn It, which has a link to it’s follow-up story for Becca’s 25 Days Of Christmas. I think it’s a nice layout and I’ll probably leave that as it is from now on. I just thought that it deserved a nice layout now that it’s all finished and will be doing one for Tumbling Down sometime in the near future as well.

Also, nominations at the Fool’s Banquet Awards close tonight, so get in your last minute nominations and thanks again to whoever nominated my stories for all of those categories! It’s impossible for me to express how much I appreciate all of the support! :)

From now on, I’ll be updating the site once a week on either Saturday or Sunday. It’s my hope that by doing this, people will know when to check in to see if a new chapter of anything has been added. There will be obvious random exceptions, but for the most part, check in on the weekends now for updates. :)

Thanks to Brittney for signing the guestbook! Please let me know what you think of this new chapter of FFL! I’m dying to know what you guys think! :)

Calling all Zac and Esme lovers!! :)

Friday, December 7th, 2007

Soooo! I wrote a continuation of Damn It for Becca’s 25 Days Of Christmas!! And, it’s my day for posting, so it’s up now! Go check that out! You’ll get a little glimpse into Zac and Esme’s future. Please check it out if you were a fan of the story. I hope it will sate you all since I’m not writing a sequel lol.

I also just posted Chapter 10 of Revelations, so if you’re following that story, please go check that out! Chapter 11 of Where I Belong was posted on Saturday as well. :)

I’m hoping to have an update of Fine, Fine Line for next week, so look forward to that! I want to get back into this story so badly and I can’t wait to start writing Cam again. I’ve missed her. :(

In some super exciting news, my stories have gotten a bunch of nominations at Brittney’s Fool’s Banquet Awards! Thanks so much to whoever nominated me! :) Nominations are still going on for about another week or so, so go see if your favorite stories from this year have been nominated and if they haven’t, fill out a nomination form and make sure they get on the ballot! :) There are some wonderful stories nominated already, so go take a peek.

Thanks so much to Brittney, Hayley, Cindy, Amber, and Diana for signing the guestbook! :)

Well…

Saturday, December 1st, 2007

I didn’t win NaNo. But, I did get halfway there, which, considering the fact that I lost almost two weeks of writing time due to holiday and work obligations, I’m not too horribly disappointed with myself. I got halfway done with the word count and halfway done with the story. So yes, Chapter 9 of Revelations is now posted. It’s a long chapter, but something pretty important happens in it, so please let me know what you think! :)

I know that some people probably have a problem with this story based on its content, and I understand that. But if you’d just give it a chance, I think you’ll see that it’s not a slash story. I’m trying my very hardest to make it much more than that, and to make it as funny as possible. Because let’s be honest… I love writing comedies. :) I guess I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who’s been giving this story a chance during NaNo and I hope that you’ll keep up with it now that updates of it might not be so frequent. :)

Well, now that NaNo is officially over, I’m going to keep working on Revelations but will also start working on Fine, Fine Line again. In celebration of that fact, I made a few layout for FFL and put it up, so go check that out. No promises as to when the next chapter of that will be posted, but hopefully soon! :)

Thanks so much to Brittney for signing the guestbook!

NANO!!!!!!!!!

Friday, November 2nd, 2007

Well, I’m a big tool and forgot to post here last night. :) My bad. I’ve started Nanoing (which I have just deemed a verb, btw) and have posted the first chapter of Revelations!!! This story is already shaping up to be quite the doozy lol, so please be sure to check it out! I’ll be posting chapters as I write them, and then after November I’ll go back and fix any inconsistencies that I find, confusing wording, etc. But, I want you all to know what I’m doing, so I’ll be sharing it with you as I write. I don’t want to have to update here every day, so just check back regularly for updates! Yayyy NaNo!

Due to my NaNo participation, Fine, Fine Line is going on hiatus until December, which in reality is probably a good thing. I need some time to really sit down and think about how to approach things after the big blow-out in the last chapter (sorry to leave you with a big cliffhanger for a month!)  so it is the best that it can be. It’s not gone, and I will be finishing the story, but it just has to take a backseat for the sake of Revelations right now.

Becca and I have written enough of Where I Belong to keep updating during November, so keep checking out that site as well!

I have a new affiliate, Hayley! If you aren’t already familiar with her work, please go check it out! It’s great!

And finally, thank you so much to Becca, Becky, Jenny, Chelsi, Foxtrot, Katie, and Daiana for signing the gbook after the last chapter of FFL. I was really nervous to post it, so thank you for letting me know what you think. And don’t be afraid to let me know what you think of Revelations. It’s amusing me so far, and I hope it amuses you guys, too! :)

Hmm…

Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007

Sometimes, writing Fine, Fine Line comes incredibly easy, and other times, I get so frustrated with it. I know that only happens because I know exactly what I want to happen, but don’t know how to get there. Well, tonight I figured out how to get to one of the places this story needed to reach, but it got there in a much different way than I had anticipated. I think a lot of you will be surprised by some of the things that happen in this chapter, and don’t despair, it’ll all get explained. But anyways, Chapter 5 is now posted. Please let me know what you think of this one if you have a second. :)

Chapter 5 of Where I Belong was also posted this weekend by Becca. :)

Thank you so much to Becca, Becky, Leigh, Kristin, and Kristy for signing the guestbook! !

Ugh…

Monday, October 15th, 2007

I’m home sick, but finally got Chapter 4 of Fine, Fine Line ready to be posted, so here it is! Go check it out and let me know what you think! :) Chapter 4 of Where I Belong was posted on Saturday, so take a look at that also if you haven’t already.

In other news, I’ve joined the new Hanfic banner exchange that Brittney (who also happens to be my new affiliate!!) has started called Book Down in the Basement. It’s designed to help generate knowledge, interest, and enthusiasm in a wide variety of different Hanfic sites, so check that out, too!

Thanks so much to Becca, Kristin, Katie, Becky, and Brittney for signing the gbook!
